8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. On offer are six [6] charming, fascinating late 19th Century manuscript letters handwritten by Edward B. Currie who is working his way through Mississippi between 1895 to 1897 writing back home to Tennessee. Written in pencil the naïve letters all originate from different towns in Mississippi; Olive Branch, Byhalia (2), Tupelo, Amory, and Kelly written to his mother in Henning, Tennessee. The son appears to be with a work crew of some type likely timber or logging business. He mentions that Artesian is a town with 2 negroes to 1 white. Also says that they have a nice set of boys in his crew but they don't know much. VG.. Manuscript. Book Condition: Very Good
